Ohio Valley Energy is very concerned with the safety of our landowners and employees. We use safety equipment, including:

- Vacuum lids |
Ohio Valley Energy is a member of the Ohio Oil & Gas Association (OOGA). OOGA helps promote safety in the industry through the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program (OOGEEP).
Environment
The State of Ohio has numerous requirements for oil and gas drilling designed to protect the environment. In 2005 the Ohio Department of Natural Resources invited STRONGER (State Review of Oil and Natural Gas Environmental Regulations), a non-profit organization to review the Ohio oil and gas environmental regulatory program. STRONGER was very pleased with the results of their review.
The State of Ohio requires the sampling of all water wells within three hundred (300) feet of the proposed well location in urbanized areas prior to drilling. Ohio Valley Energy goes above and beyond this requirement and tests all water wells for homes and businesses within five hundred (500) feet of the well location. |
